The Grossenbacher Vary Harness is one of the most adaptable, ergonomic, and secure dog harnesses available — ideal for both growing puppies and adult dogs alike. Designed to accommodate changing shapes, coat lengths, or breed-specific body types, the Vary harness offers extensive adjustability at the neck, girth, and sternum (length from prosternum to girth), making it a standout option for long-term fit and functionality.
Exclusive to Harbour City Dog Gear, our version of the Vary harness includes a front D-ring in addition to the standard rear and nape of neck connection points, making this a triple-connection training and walking harness. The front ring is appropriate for use during leash training — always best paired with a double-ended lead for balanced contact and optimal guidance. Please only use the front ring as part of a training plan under an experienced and qualified force-free trainer.
This harness features a slip on over-the-head design with a fully adjustable neck, girth and chest (plastic sliders on smaller sizes, lightweight metal sliders on larger ones). This additional split adjustability on the bottom strap helps keep the harness centered, even on deep-chested dogs, helping to prevent the middle strap from flipping to one side.

Backorders are available in our standard colour range. Grossenbacher backorders usually ship to you in apx 6-7 weeks, pending product availability and workload/holiday season in Switzerland. Online backorders (as opposed to Custom Orders) are treated like normal orders and are exchangeable, and cannot be cancelled once placed, and are not refundable (except as required under Australian Consumer Law). Please refer to our FAQs for detailed information about backorders.

CUSTOM ORDERS
Grossenbacher products come in a large range of custom colour combinations. The ProGuide harness does have many (many!) other colour options available – we are happy to do special orders for colours we don’t stock, however custom orders are not returnable or exchangeable (except as required under Australian Consumer Law).
If you would like to place a Custom Order for a Vary harness, please select the appropriate size and then choose "Vary Custom Order" in the colour drop down, then add to your cart. YOU MUST WRITE THE COLOUR/S YOU ARE REQUESTING (base, edge, strap) IN THE ORDER NOTES BOX.

Please ensure you know what size will fit your dog so you are not disappointed when a custom order doesn't fit and can't be exchanged. We strongly suggest coming into the studio to try them on, or at least book a Zoom fitting session, before you order.
For Vary Custom Orders, please advise us if you do not want a front d-ring on your harness. (Otherwise it will come with one included.)
Custom Orders are paid for in advance and are not refundable or cancellable. Full payment is made before a custom item is ordered in for you.
Custom Orders usually take 6-7 weeks, but may take up to 12 weeks, to deliver to you depending on where we are in the order cycle and the workload/holiday season in Switzerland. All Grossenbacher harnesses are hand-made to order, hence the long wait time.
